History of Parkdale Valley Land Trust

  • 2006 - Began process of buying farmland and talking to local farmers
  • 2007 - Incorporated under OR State Law
  • 2007 - Applied for tax exempt status under 501c3 to raise funds for completing the mission of the Parkdale Valley Land Trust
  • 2007 - Initial tract of farmland brought back to health
  • 2007 - Template for farm/forest conservation easement completed
  • 2008 – 09 Expanded PVLT Board to seven members
  • 2009 - Meet with Chelan-Douglas County Land Trust for lessons learned
  • 2009 Wilderness Bill signed into law. Celebrate. PVLT readies for impact
  • 2009 Ready for National Land Trust Alliance certification training
  • 2009 IRS grants 501(c)(3) section 170 (contributions are tax deductible)
